Brian Paris
Director, New Business Development, North America

Brian Paris joined Universal Companies in January 2009, and contributes over 19 years of design, development, consulting, and FF&E sourcing experience, including 11 years devoted to the spa, medical and hotel/resort industries. He is a specialist in the areas of spa development, design, and sourcing for spa owners, hotel/resort companies, developers, architects, and medical spas.

During his years as a spa consultant, Brian served as Corporate Operations Manager for LaBelle Spas and was recruited by actor Robert Redford for the conception, creation, and development of his signature project, The Spa at Sundance Resort. He remained with Redford as Director of Programming for Sundance Resort. The Spa at Sundance has been featured in Bernard Burt's spa industry review "100 Best Spas of the World."



Anne Vowell
Account Manager

Anne-Lewis Vowell, an Account Manager, has been a part of the Universal sales team for almost four years. Her experience and excellent customer service skills are invaluable assets as she works with clients to equip their spas with the operating supplies and equipment they need. Brittany Woodby
Corporate Account Manager

Pennsylvania native Brittany Woodby joined Universal Companies in 2007, bringing her extensive business management skills and experience to both Inside Sales and Customer Service positions. She recently accepted the position of Manager with Universal's Corporate Accounts Team, where she will put her business management skills to work for her customers. Brittany is looking forward to helping corporate clients with their purchasing, marketing, and merchandising options to help enhance their spa business and further their success.

Josh Jones
Regional Manager, Mountain & Northeast

California native Josh Jones began his career in sales immediately after graduating from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Communications. He worked for two years in sales and recruiting at the Utah College of Massage Therapy and then shifted his focus to the spa industry, where he began working with another product distributor as a Customer Service Representative. Over a period of seven years Josh immersed himself in the spa industry, and as a Corporate Sales Representative he assisted with many spa openings, including those at Hotel Park City, Celebrity Solstice, and Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach. He also helped with the growth of several franchise organizations, including Massage Envy and Faces 365. Now based in Salt Lake City, Josh is bringing his extensive knowledge of the industry and his experience with new and expanding properties to Universal Companies’ corporate customers, and is dedicated to giving them personal attention and excellent service.

Katelyn Key
Account Manager

Katelyn Key is a licensed Esthetician with a background in Cosmetology. She attended East Tennessee State University and joined the Universal sales team last year. Now an Account Manager with the School Partnership Program, she assists school accounts and their instructors with all of their ordering needs. Katelyn also works with her accounts to develop custom kits for their students.

"I enjoy customizing student kits and working with school instructors. Because I attended esthetics school, I can relate to the needs of students and instructors. I am a licensed esthetician with experience in the beauty industry, and I would love to put my experience to work for you and your school."

Kim Knefel
Corporate Account Manager

Kimberly Knefel joined Universal Companies in January 2007, bringing with her over ten years of extensive experience in the cosmetology and beauty industry. After working as a member of the inside sales team, she joined the Corporate Accounts Team as Coordinator and recently accepted the position of Corporate Account Manager. Kim, a Kingsport, Tennessee native, is a licensed cosmetologist and feels her previous experience will be of great benefit to our corporate clients.

Linda Price
Corporate Sales Manager

We are delighted to welcome Linda Price back to Universal Companies this year. Linda served as National Training Director for Universal during the company's early years, and has a strong background in sales and management. Originally from Bristol, Tennessee, she received her Bachelor of Science in Education from East Tennessee State University and has prior experience in that field, as well as 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales. With her skills and knowledge about the spa industry, she is looking forward to assisting her Corporate Sales Team as they provide clients with everything they require to flourish and be profitable.

Mariah Culbertson
Account Manager

Mariah Culbertson joined Universal Companies in 2000 and has since been actively involved with numerous aspects of sales, working with signature Spa Pantry™ products and offering innovative ideas for development. She has extensive knowledge about spa start-ups, expansions, installations, menu development, equipment consulting, retail selection, and supply consolidation. Mariah is also a trained esthetician and massage therapist, which allows her to understand each component of daily spa operations. Throughout her history with Universal, she has worked with hundreds of successful spas, from resorts and destination hotels, to clubs, day spas, and chain locations. Mariah is a proud and active member of the team responsible for implementing eco-conscious solutions at Universal Companies.
