The pumice in this wonderful treatment will exfoliate the feet while the luscious whipped butters and the aloe gel help soften the feet. Meanwhile the Epsom salts soothe tired feet while the lavender soothes the psyche.

Luscious Lavender Moisturizer

Supplies Needed:

  • 3 Medium Rubber Mixing Bowls
  • 1 Small Rubber Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring Utensils
  • Spoon/Spatula
  • Mud Warmer/Large bowl filled with hot water/ or Hot Towel Cabi
  • Pedicure Throne/Station
  • Pedicure Implements
  • Electric Booties/Disposable Liners or Herbal Booties
  • Warm Moist Towels

Ingredient Characteristics:

  • Aloe Gel – Helps hydrate, soften, and soothe. Helps treat skin irritations, insect bites, burns, and sunburns.
  • Epsom Salts – Used to help ease sore muscles and open pores for better absorption in spa treatments. It helps draw toxins from the body, relax the nervous system, and reduce swelling.
  • Lavender Essential Oil – Relaxing, soothing, antidepressant, restorative, purifying.
  • Lavender Flowers – Helps soothe, relax, and balance. Helps relieve depression and helps promote natural sleep.
  • Pumice – A harsh abrasive that makes a good exfoliator for tough areas of the body, such as the feet, elbows, and knees.
  • Whipped Coconut Butter – Soft butter with great spreadability that helps smooth and lubricate the skin. Helps lower evaporation loss in the skin.
  • Whipped Shea Butter – Excellent skin moisturizer. Helps the skin retain elasticity. Helps prevent and minimize stretch marks.
  • White Kaolin Clay – Mild clay that helps stimulate, detoxify, and exfoliate without drawing oil from the skin. Has a slightly acidic pH of 5 and a high aluminum content—helps repair and protect the skin.

Preparing the Luscious Lavender Scrub:

Luscious Lavender Soak

  1. Using a medium rubber mixing bowl, combine the Epsom Salts with the Lavender Essential Oil.
  2. Add the mixture to your soaking tub/bowl.
  3. Note: if desired, dissolve the mixture in warm water prior to adding it to the soaking tub.

Luscious Lavender Scrub

  1. Using a medium rubber mixing bowl, combine the Whipped Coconut Butter and the Pumice. Mix well.
  2. Add the Lavender Essential Oil. Mix well.
  3. Place the rubber bowl in a mud warmer, bowl of warm water, or a hot towel cabi so it will be warm when applied.

Luscious Lavender Masque

  1. Using a medium rubber mixing bowl, combine the White Kaolin Clay Powder with the Lavender Flowers. Mix well.
  2. Add the Water, Aloe Gel, and Lavender Essential Oil. Blend to form a paste.
  3. Place the rubber bowl in your warmer.

Luscious Lavender Moisturizer

  1. Using small rubber mixing bowl, combine the Whipped Shea Butter with the Lavender Essential Oil. Mix until well blended.
  2. Place the rubber bowl in your warmer.

Preparation Time – 5–7 minutes
Yield – 1 treatment

What to Do:

  1. Cleanse and disinfect the feet.
  2. Soak the feet for 5 minutes in warm water mixed with Luscious Lavender Soak.
  3. Apply Luscious Lavender Scrub to one of the guest’s feet using light circular motions. Extend the treatment/massage to above the guest’s knee.
  4. Remove the product using warm moist towels or rinse off in the footbath.
  5. Repeat the procedure on the other foot and leg.
  6. Apply Luscious Lavender Masque to both feet and lower legs. Slip disposable booties and electric booties (or herbal booties) up over both feet and lower legs.
  7. Set the temperature on Low.
  8. Allow Luscious Lavender Masque to set for 10 minutes.
  9. Optional: While the masque is setting, do a complimentary pressure point scalp massage.
  10. Remove the heated booties.
  11. Cut the tip end of the liner off and push the liner back to expose the toes so you can work on the nails. Meanwhile, the rest of the foot continues to benefit from the masque.
  12. Trim and shape the nails. Maintain the cuticle and nail beds.
  13. Remove disposable liners. Rinse remaining masque off using warm moist towels.
  14. Moisturize the feet/legs with Luscious Lavender Moisturizer.
  15. Finish nails as desired.
