Return Exceptions at Universal Companies

We’re committed to maintaining the highest quality, safety, and hygiene standards for our customers. Because of the nature of certain items—and in line with manufacturer policies—some products are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange.

If a product has specific return restrictions, you’ll see that clearly indicated on the product page.


Which items are non-returnable?

The following categories are excluded from our standard return policy:

1. Final Sale & Discontinued Items

  • Products shown in the “Last Chance” section or on the UCo Outlet site cannot be returned or exchanged. These are typically discontinued items that are no longer carried in our inventory.

2. Manufacturer Policy Exclusions

Some manufacturers have strict return policies that do not allow returns once the item is purchased. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Oakworks

  • Living Earth Crafts (LEC)

  • Earthlite

  • Touch America

  • Continuum

  • Comfort Soul

  • Takara Belmont

  • Gamma & Bross

  • Collins

  • Gharieni

3. Items with Broken Seals or That Have Been Opened

For safety, hygiene, and performance integrity, certain products cannot be returned once opened or used—even partially. These include:

  • Hair dryers, curling irons, flat irons, and clippers

  • Skin care devices (e.g., Bio-Therapeutic tools, DPL light therapy items)

  • Other professional tools that are factory-sealed

If the seal is broken or the product has been opened, the item is no longer eligible for return.

4. Hygiene-Sensitive Products Without Seals

Some items—such as nail polish, gel polish, and lacquers—are final sale due to health and hygiene regulations. These cannot be returned, even if unused. The products lack seals and there is no way to determine if the item has been opened or tampered with.


How will I know if an item is non-returnable?

We’re here to make shopping as transparent as possible. If a product has return restrictions:

  • A note will be shown on the product page under the "Returns" section (see image below)

  • You can always contact our Customer Service team with questions before placing your order
