Create The ESSence Of Winter With Aromatherapy

Winter brings the quiet fall of soft snow and the spirited chatter of holiday gatherings. Capture these moments and release them throughout your spa with these easy aromatherapy recipes. Peppermint, eucalyptus, orange, and cedarwood are just a few of the scents that will enchant and delight your clients during this magical time of year.

Winter Solstice

Diffuser:  Fill diffuser with water.  For every 1 oz. of water, add 3 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil, 2 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil, and 3 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil.

Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion:  Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with 1 drop of Rosemary Essential Oil, 1 drop of Eucalyptus Essential Oil, and 1 drop of Peppermint Essential Oil.

Polish or Scrub:  Mix 8 oz. (1 cup) of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of carrier oil of your choice.  Stir until well blended.  Add 6 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil, 4 drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil, and 6 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil.

Warmth

Diffuser:  Fill the diffuser with water.  For every 1 oz. of water, add 5 drops of Orange Essential Oil, 3 drops of Clove Essential Oil, and 1 drop of Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil.

Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion:  Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with 4 drops of Orange Essential Oil, 2 drops of Clove Essential Oil, and 1 drop of Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil.

Polish or Scrub:  Mix 8 oz. (1 cup) of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of carrier oil of your choice.  Stir until well blended.  Add 10 drops of Orange Essential Oil, 5 drops of Clove Essential Oil, and 2 drops of Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil.

Winter Walk

Diffuser:  Fill diffuser with water. For every 1 oz. of water, add 3 drops of Fir Balsam Essential Oil, 3 drops of Cypress Essential Oil, and 2 drops of Cedarwood Essential Oil.

Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion:  Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with 2 drops of Fir Balsam Essential Oil, 1 drop of Cypress Essential Oil, and 1 drop of Cedarwood Essential Oil.

Polish or Scrub:  Mix 8 oz. (1 cup) of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of carrier oil of your choice. Stir until well blended. Add 6 drops of Fir Balsam Essential Oil, 5 drops of Cypress Essential Oil, and 3 drops of Cedarwood Essential Oil.

Silent Night

Diffuser:  Fill diffuser with water.  For every 1 oz. of water, add 10 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil, 5 drops of Myrrh Essential Oil, and 5 drops of Orange Essential Oil.

Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion:  Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with 5 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil, 2 drops of Myrrh Essential Oil, and 3 drops of Orange Essential Oil.

Polish or Scrub:  Mix 8 oz. (1 cup) of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of carrier oil of your choice.  Stir until well blended.  Add 15 drops of Frankincense Essential Oil, 10 drops of Myrrh Essential Oil, and 10 drops of Orange Essential Oil.
