VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
Welcome back to another Universal Companies video. If you're new here, my name is Lauren, and today I'm going to introduce you to Eco-fin. I'm asked all of the time, what is Eco-fin and how do you use it? Eco-fin is a paraffin alternative product that is made with 100% natural emollients and pure essential oils. Unlike traditional paraffin, Eco-fin is petroleum free, but instead made with plant-based ingredients, such as jojoba and shea butter. With all of these great ingredients, Eco-fin is exceptionally hydrating, and it's offered in a variety of scents that range from florals to sweets and even some woodsy scents. There's even a eucalyptus Eco-fin cube that is infused and blended with CBD.
Eco-fin is packaged into pre-measured individual cubes. They're extremely sanitary as one cube is single use, so it's only used on one client. They're also extremely versatile. One cube holds enough product to do both hands in a treatment or one foot in a treatment, but the limit does not stop there. Melt Eco-fin down and add it to your favorite salt or sugar to use as a customized body scrub or use it as a massage medium in your favorite service.
Hand treatments are an easy way to incorporate Eco-fin into your service menu offering as either a standalone treatment or a service enhancement. The first thing you want to do is melt your Eco-fin. There are several different ways you can do this. My favorite is to simply drop your Eco-fin cube into a fingerless liner and then drop that liner into the Eco-fin Muslin sleeve. You can simply flip over that top piece and then roll down. You then want to place this into your hot towel cabi until the Eco-fin cube is completely melted. I like to make a bunch of these first thing in the morning, so that I have them to use throughout the day and they're ready to go for the service.
When you're ready to perform your service, simply unroll the sleeve and slip over top of your client’s hand. You want to make sure that you move around any of the product, so it covers the hand entirely. Another tip is that you can twist the eco thin plastic liner and tuck it right under. That way, if the client lifts their hand, it's not going to run back down their arm.
Next you want to cover your client’s hands with an Eco-fin mitt. I also recommend that you put these in your hot towel cabi as well, that way they're nice and warm and comfortable for your client. You can let this sit for the audited time that you've set for your service and once you're ready to remove, you'll just simply slide off your mitt and your liner, and then pull down your fingerless liner. And there's going to be a little bit of product life on the skin, so you want to make sure that you massage that in. Next, there's an Eco-fin finishing spray, that you will spray over top to help trap in that moisture that you received throughout the service.
