Turning Bridal Business Into Repeat Business

Bridal business is great business, especially when you can spread it throughout the year. Traditionally, spas have filled their books for bridal services in June. But there’s really no time of year that’s off limits for a wedding, and fall nuptials are extremely popular now.

Aside from marketing to brides year-round, how can you see steady profits from wedding services? From a custom menu to the right mix of retail products, we have a few ideas you can easily put into practice to bring bridal clients in before the wedding and then back to your spa after the big day.

Bridal Parties

Bridal and bachelorette parties can get a little lively, so plan to host them during slower times or off-hours. This will provide additional business when you need it and not disturb other guests. Late in the day or early evenings on Fridays and Saturdays work particularly well and provide a nice experience for the girls before they head out to the bars.

If you’re able to offer mimosas, champagne, or spa cocktails for packages that meet a certain minimum, it is a nice value-add that’s festive and relatively inexpensive. If alcohol is not allowed, consider sparkling water “mocktails” to create a celebratory atmosphere. Partner with a local restaurant to serve fruit and cheese trays, chocolate tastings, and organic nibbles. Provide bounce-back offers or other partnership incentives with that restaurant to further boost your business.

  • Partner with photographers, bridal shops, banquet halls, restaurants, and, if you don’t offer hair services, local salons. Referring clients back and forth between businesses can boost your bridal revenue significantly.
  • Send an actual wedding card. For a $3-4 investment, you can add substantial value to your brand. Also, the bride will be likely to tell all of her bridesmaids, who in turn may tell others about your business.
  • Follow up with the happy couple a month later to let them know that, even though their wedding is over, ongoing skin and physical wellness is important.
