Nice smell and consistency

When CND launched their Pro Skincare line, the idea behind including widely known skincare ingredients in their products was pretty genius. We elected to bring in the entire line to replace the recently discontinued CND Marine SpaPedicure products that we were using at the time. The new line included the Intensive Hydration Treatment for Feet, which is a thick, rich moisturizing cream containing probiotics, along with various butters, oils and humectants. Used to soften calluses and dry, cracked feet, it is a really good product; however, we do miss the Cucumber Heel Therapy that it replaced. It was a client favorite...especially the fragrance and the creamier consistency. This one does not present the retail opportunities that its predecessor did, because it does not come in smaller, more affordable sizes, and the 15 oz size is prohibitively expensive when marked up to be sold as retail. Plus, the cost of the 54 oz container, which we use professionally in our pedicures, is almost a third more for the Intensive Hydration Treatment than for an equal amount of the Cucumber Heel Therapy. We continue to purchase CND products for our pedicures and manicures, because they are a professional, quality brand that you can have confidence in. I just wish they wouldn't fix what's not broken, which they are notorious for doing. Also, I wish they would consider their professional clients' needs when taking away our retailing opportunities.

While CND is a high-quality, top-notch professional brand, sometimes their marketing decisions boggle my mind. They're forever reformulating and repackaging, leaving their professional consumers in the lurch as they switch from the old products to the new. Sometimes we are at a loss as to what to use on our clients during the transition period, because we run out of items necessary to perform our services. That's exactly what happened with this product. We had used Cucumber Heel Therapy in our pedicures for YEARS, plus retailed it to our clients; then, with no notice, there was no more Cucumber Heel Therapy available, and only with research did we find this product, which is obviously intended to be its replacement. As a matter of fact, this entire Pro Skincare line seems to be a re-hash of a line CND had about 20 or so years ago. To compare it to the Cucumber Heel Therapy, it costs almost a third more for the 54 oz size, the container is nearly impossible to open (are these supposed to be child-resistant, because they're pretty darned adult-resistant?!?!), and they don't offer it in a 2.6 oz retail size. One thing I will commend them on is that, to me, this has a better texture. It has more of a body-butter feel and is less greasy than it's predecessor. Also, I was never much of a fan of the Cucumber aroma, but the clients loved it. While this isn't a bad product, I feel that CND consistently drops the ball when it come to considering their professional customers' needs.
