There are many reasons to fall in love with autumn, including the spicy scents of the season—cinnamon, clove, rosemary, and citrus, to name a few. Bring the fall air into your spa with these aromatherapy recipes for diffusing, massage, and body treatments. Your clients will look forward to their appointments and the memory of your spa will linger long after their treatments are finished.
Cinnamon Chai Latte
Diffuser – Fill diffuser with water. For every 1 oz. of water, add these essential oils: 2 drops of Clove Bud, 5 drops of Cinnamon Leaf, and 4 drops of Ginger.
Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion – Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with these essential oils: 1 drop of Clove Bud, 3 drops of Cinnamon Leaf, and 2 drops of Ginger.
Polish or Scrub – Mix 8 oz. of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of a carrier oil of your choice. Stir until well blended. Add the following essential oils: 5 drops of Clove Bud, 10 drops of Cinnamon Leaf, and 5 drops of Ginger.
Drummer's Circle
Diffuser – Fill diffuser with water. For every 1 oz. of water, add these essential oils: 4 drops of Frankincense, 3 drops of Blood Orange, and 2 drops of Cedarwood Atlas.
Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion – Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with these essential oils: 4 drops of Frankincense, 2 drops of Blood Orange, and 1 drop of Cedarwood Atlas.
Polish or Scrub – Mix 8 oz. of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of a carrier oil of your choice. Stir until well blended. Add the following essential oils: 10 drops of Frankincense, 5 drops of Blood Orange, and 2 drops of Cedarwood Atlas.
Pumpkin Spice
Diffuser – Fill diffuser with water. For every 1 oz. of water, add these essential oils: 5 drops of Ginger, 5 drops of Benzoin, 10 drops of Cinnamon Leaf, and 4 drops of Clove Bud.
Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion – Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with these essential oils: 4 drops of Ginger, 2 drops of Benzoin, 5 drops of Cinnamon Leaf, and 4 drops of Clove Bud.
Polish or Scrub – Mix 8 oz. of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of a carrier oil of your choice. Stir until well blended. Add the following essential oils: 10 drops of Ginger, 5 drops of Benzoin, 10 drops of Cinnamon Leaf, and 4 drops of Clove Bud.
Thankful Spirit
Diffuser – Fill diffuser with water. For every 1 oz. of water, add these essential oils: 5 drops of Sweet Orange, 3 drops of Clove Bud, 1 drop of Cinnamon Leaf, 2 drops of Lemon, and 1 drop of Rosemary.
Massage Oil, Cream, or Lotion – Mix 4 oz. of unscented oil, cream, or lotion with these essential oils: 4 drops of Sweet Orange, 2 drops of Clove Bud, 1 drop of Cinnamon Leaf, 2 drops of Lemon, and 1 drop of Rosemary.
Polish or Scrub – Mix 8 oz. of salt or sugar with 4 tablespoons of a carrier oil of your choice. Stir until well blended. Add the following essential oils: 10 drops of Sweet Orange, 5 drops of Clove Bud, 2 drops of Cinnamon Leaf, 2 drops of Lemon, and 2 drops of Rosemary.
