Fit many women fine. No one has complained about the comfort level.

A few women and all male clients I've seen with these on have their heels sticking far out because the body of strap and the base of the shoe at that point are not very wide. They have the 'right size' shoe on, but can't get their toes near the front of the sandal. Even as the shoe sizes go up, they appear to get longer and not much wider. Not well thought out for unisex sizing.
